The College

A Botswana college in Gaborone, devoted to careful digital scholarship.

Cyber Intelligence College exists for undergraduate education in four fields that now govern public and private life: cyber security, blockchain, data science, and artificial intelligence. The academic standard is careful scholarship joined to practical competence.

Students are asked to understand systems, to test them, and to take responsibility for work that communities can trust. That standard is the same in every school and on every programme.

Schools

Three schools. One college.

  1. 01

    School of Cyber Security

The School of Cyber Security is responsible for undergraduate teaching in the protection of networks, information, and the people who depend on them. Security is treated as a civic craft as well as a technical one. A graduate must be able to secure a system, to reconstruct an incident, and to speak plainly to those who will live with the result. Fashionable threat language is not a substitute for that work.

  2. 02

    School of Data & Intelligence

The School of Data & Intelligence houses data science and artificial intelligence, taught as a single school of methods — from evidence to model to decision. The work shares a foundation in mathematics, programming, and the ethics of inference. The School does not separate cleverness from consequence.

  3. 03

    School of Digital Infrastructure

The School of Digital Infrastructure is concerned with blockchain technologies and with the design of digital systems that communities can inspect and trust. A ledger is taught here as an instrument of record, not as a speculation. Students learn the protocols, the failure modes, and the institutional settings in which a distributed system is — or is not — the right tool. The School's test is whether the work can be inspected.
