The College

Careful scholarship joined to practical competence.

Cyber Intelligence College is a Botswana college in Gaborone. It exists for undergraduate education in cyber security, blockchain, data science, and artificial intelligence.

Purpose

The purpose of the College is to educate Africa's next generation of digital leaders. Students are asked to understand systems, to test them, and to take responsibility for work that communities can trust. That standard is the same in every school and on every programme.

The four Bachelor of Science qualifications are registered on Botswana's National Credit and Qualifications Framework at Level 7 (480 credits). Teaching is full-time in Gaborone.

In Botswana

The programmes answer a national shortage of expertise in cybersecurity, data, and digital infrastructure. Their rationale, as registered, is aligned with Vision 2036, the Human Resource Development Council's priority skills, the National Cybersecurity Strategy, and the Botswana Cybersecurity Act of 2024.

The College does not claim to speak for the state. It claims only to teach these subjects with care, in Gaborone.

Teaching

Lecture, written work, examination.

Lecture and practical class

Instruction is by lecture and by practical class. The first presents the argument; the second requires the student to make it work, and to see where it fails.

Written work

Written work is set and returned with comment. The habit is to write clearly, to cite what one has used, and to know the limit of a claim.

Assessment

Assessment is formative and summative in equal measure, internally and externally moderated. A capstone or dissertation is examined in the later years of each programme.
